Community Relations & Philanthropy
While maintaining our rich heritage of being a community bank, we have always recognized the value of innovation and technology. As Lane County's oldest independent community bank, we offer our customers the stability that is personified by a well-seasoned staff with years of experience. Loan decisions are made locally and therefore, often with less complication and quicker response time. We service over $300 million residential mortgage loans for investors as well as another $300 million multi-family loans, a rarity these days for a community bank.
Siuslaw is committed to investment in our community, both financially and personally. Each year, we donate to various non-profits, all of which are in Lane County. Moreover, each employee is encouraged and compensated to volunteer up to 40-hours a year in the community. Our employees participate or are on Boards of various non-profit organizations.
Siuslaw has received a top 10 designation four years in a row as a recipient for the Portland Business Journal's "Top Philanthropic Companies." This giving is reflected in our corporate culture. In addition, nearly a hundred percent of our employees donate to the United Way.
In 2009, we were bestowed with the honor of the "Community Caring" award from the Florence area Chamber of Commerce.
Most recently, we were honored in 2010 and 2011 as a "Favorite Bank in Lane County" by the Register-Guard.
